What's included

What demo trading gives you

Four things the demo unlocks. The platform doesn't hold back features for live accounts — what you see here is what you get when you switch.

  • $50,000 in virtual capital

Reset-able if you run it down. The amount is large enough to practice position sizing on real-feel trades, not just one-lot demos. You can adjust your demo balance from the account settings to match the live balance you plan to start with.

  • Full instrument access

All 1,300+ CFD instruments across forex, crypto, stocks, indices, commodities, ETFs, and bonds. No demo-only restrictions on which markets you can trade — every category that's available on live is available on demo.

  • Same platform, charts, and orders

Web terminal and mobile apps work identically — the demo is just an account mode toggle. Watchlists, charting tools, order types (market, limit, stop), positions screen, history — all present. Order tickets show the same fields you'll see when live.

  • Real-time market data

Prices update live from the same feeds as the live platform — not delayed quotes or sample data. Spreads, multipliers, and commissions are displayed as they would be on a real trade so you can read total cost before clicking submit.

Simulated — orders fill instantly at quoted prices; live execution can experience slippage in fast markets
Welcome bonus eligibility
Demo doesn't qualify; bonus activates only on a $100+ qualifying deposit to a verified live account

Demo behaviour mirrors live with two important exceptions: (1) execution is simulated — orders fill at quoted prices instantly, while live execution can slip or partially fill in fast markets; (2) the psychological tax of real losses isn't there, which can mislead you into overconfidence. Treat strong demo performance as a necessary but not sufficient sign you're ready for live.

Honest caveats

What demo trading doesn't capture

Demo is useful but it's not a perfect rehearsal. Three differences worth knowing before treating demo performance as proof you're ready for live.

  • The emotion gap

Demo trades don't hurt when they lose and don't thrill when they win — the psychological discipline that drives real-money outcomes barely shows up on virtual capital. Many traders who are profitable on demo turn unprofitable on small live deposits as soon as real money is at stake.

  • Simulated execution

Demo orders fill on quoted prices instantly. Live orders can experience slippage in fast markets, momentary rejections during high volatility, or partial fills on illiquid instruments. The simulation doesn't perfectly replicate these microstructural realities — generally favourable to the demo trader.

  • No welcome-bonus qualification

Demo accounts don't qualify for the 100% welcome bonus or any deposit-linked promotion. The bonus activates only on a qualifying first deposit of $100+ to a verified live account with promo code WELCOME. Demo trading volume doesn't count toward bonus conversion either.

When you're ready

Switching from demo to live

There's no separate account creation — the live account is the same account with funds deposited. Three steps from demo trader to live trader.

  1. Fund the live account

    Instant

Minimum deposit is $10 on the standard account. Enter promo code WELCOME on the deposit screen if you want the 100% match bonus (qualifying minimum is $100, eligible jurisdictions only). No KYC required at this stage.

  2. Switch the account mode and trade

    Instant

Toggle between demo and live from the same account dashboard — one click. Your watchlists, chart layouts, and platform preferences carry over from demo to live; only the funds are different.

  3. Identity verification (KYC) — at first withdrawal

    Minutes to 72 hours

When you initiate your first withdrawal, the platform opens the verification flow. Upload a government-issued photo ID plus a quick selfie for face-match. The compliance team reviews — usually same-day, up to 72 hours for complex cases.

Where to go next

After the demo — related guides

Five pages most users open after the demo — covering how leverage works, the MetaTrader path, learning resources, and the bridge to a funded account.

  • How Libertex multipliers work

Multiplier (leverage) caps vary by instrument and account type — demo uses the same caps as live, so the testing maps cleanly to your real future trades. The order ticket shows the multiplier you're using before you confirm.

  • Try MT4 on a demo sub-account

MetaTrader 4 demo is available as a sub-account inside your main demo. Run EAs, custom indicators, and backtest strategies before deciding whether MT4 fits your workflow.

    MT4 setup
  • Try MT5 on a demo sub-account

MetaTrader 5 demo offers multi-currency backtesting, depth-of-market data, and the MQL5 Cloud Network for distributed optimisation — all available on virtual funds before commitment.

  • Trading tutorial

Short structured walk-through of the order ticket, stop-loss placement, position sizing, and reading the chart — paired with demo practice, this is the fastest way to internalise the mechanics.

  • Open a live account

When the demo is clicking — minimum deposit on the standard account is $10, the live account is the same login with funds enabled. KYC is required at first withdrawal and typically takes minutes. Enter promo code WELCOME on first deposit for the 100% match bonus (qualifying minimum $100).
