Libertex on Windows

There is no native Libertex application for Windows. The official desktop experience for the Libertex platform on Windows is the web terminal in any modern browser — no install needed. For traders who want a downloadable desktop client, MT4 and MT5 have full-featured native Windows builds.

Your options on Windows

Four ways to use Libertex on Windows

Each option fits a different use case. The web platform is fastest to set up; MT4 / MT5 are for power-user workflows; mobile apps remain available alongside any Windows setup.

  • Web platform in any browser

The official Windows desktop experience. Open the broker's site in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave, sign in, trade. No install, no plug-in. Edge ships with Windows so even a fresh install works out of the box.

  • MT4 for Windows

Download MetaTrader 4 native Windows client from the broker after creating an MT4 sub-account. Windows is MT4's primary platform — the most polished MetaTrader experience runs here. Expert Advisors, custom indicators, the full MQL4 ecosystem.

  • MT5 for Windows

MetaTrader 5 native Windows client. Same install path as MT4 (broker dashboard, after sub-account setup). Multi-asset coverage, depth-of-market, faster backtesting. The modern MetaTrader path.

  • Mobile apps work alongside Windows

Many active traders run the web platform on Windows for analysis and the mobile app on their phone for monitoring. Same account, real-time sync. The two surfaces complement each other rather than substituting.

Windows specifics

What's different on Windows

Five details worth knowing on Windows specifically. Most are transparent — the platform just works — but a few common questions show up in support tickets.

Windows version
Windows 10 and 11 fully supported
Browser choice
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave — all work
Microsoft Store
No official Libertex listing — use web instead
Antivirus warnings
False positives possible on MT installers; verify source
Standalone .exe
Only from broker dashboard; never from third-party sites

If your antivirus flags an MT4 / MT5 installer downloaded from the broker's official dashboard, the warning is typically a false positive — MetaTrader installers occasionally trigger heuristic-based detection. Check the publisher signature; if it shows MetaQuotes, the installer is legitimate. Files from anywhere else are not.

FAQ

Libertex on Windows questions

Windows route chosen

Open the web platform or install MetaTrader.

Browser-based Libertex needs nothing installed — sign in to the web platform in Edge / Chrome / Firefox. For MetaTrader 4 or 5, install the official MetaQuotes client and connect with your Libertex sub-account credentials. Demo mode works for both routes before any deposit.

Trading in financial instruments is a risky activity and can bring not only profits, but also losses. The amount of possible losses is limited by the amount of the deposit.
