Libertex on Mac
There is no native Libertex application for macOS. The official desktop experience for the Libertex platform on Mac is the web terminal in Safari or any modern browser — no install needed. For traders who want a downloadable desktop client, MT4 and MT5 both have native macOS versions.

Your options on Mac
Four ways to use Libertex on macOS
Each option fits a different use case. The web platform is simplest; MetaTrader is for power-users; iOS apps run on Apple Silicon if you want mobile-style UI on a Mac.
Web platform in Safari
The official desktop experience for Libertex. Open the broker's site in Safari, sign in, trade. No install, no plug-in, no security warnings. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave all work too — Safari is just the default Mac browser.
MT4 for macOS
Download MetaTrader 4 native macOS client from the broker after creating an MT4 sub-account. Standard MetaTrader workflow on Mac — Expert Advisors, custom indicators, advanced charting. Runs on Intel and Apple Silicon.
MT5 for macOS
MetaTrader 5 native macOS client. More modern than MT4 — multi-asset coverage, depth-of-market, faster backtesting. Same install path as MT4 (broker's dashboard, after sub-account setup).
iOS apps on Apple Silicon
Apple Silicon Macs (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4) can run iOS apps from the Mac App Store if the developer has opted in. Whether the Libertex iOS app is available on Mac depends on the broker's current Mac App Store listing — check there if you prefer mobile-style UI on a Mac.

What's different on macOS
Five details that affect the Libertex experience on Mac specifically. Most are transparent — the platform just works — but worth knowing in advance.

- Both supported; Apple Silicon may run iOS apps too
- Browser choice
- Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge — all work
- macOS version
- Recent macOS versions for MT4 / MT5 clients
- Mac mini, MacBook, iMac
- All run the web platform identically

- Not needed — MT4 / MT5 have native Mac builds
MT4 and MT5 are MetaQuotes applications, not Libertex software. They have separate macOS builds maintained by MetaQuotes. The Libertex sub-accounts simply provide credentials and broker-side configuration for the MetaTrader clients to connect to.
